We were deeply saddened to hear of Jim's passing. I worked for NEA for many years and he always made time to say hello and ask about my family.. He was a very kind and humble man. Our thoughts are with you Sally, Tim and the entire family.

I spent many times in the home of my friends Sally and Jim Higgins; always welcomed by both in a spirit of kindness, warmth and hospitality.... Jim always offered thoughtful opinions about the subjects we talked of during dinner, peppered with a dependable amount of teasing me! He had my best interests and safety in mind on many occasions: walking me home, sealing my drafty windows, putting in a new battery in my car one cold winter day.....and other memorable deeds of helpfulness and care. I will miss him and remember him with gratitude.
