Mary Rhoades Obituary
STUYVESANT - Mary Rhoades, 66, passed away on October 24, 2025, at Albany Medical Center, with her daughter, Jessica, by her side, following a brief and brave battle with metastatic cancer. Born September 18, 1959 to Maurice and Alice (Gaffney) Caron, in Rockville Centre, N.Y., she was known for her strength, kindness, and devotion to her family.
Mary retired from Verizon in Menands, N.Y., after many years of service, to embrace her greatest role as a full-time grandmother. Her family was her world, and she filled their lives with unconditional love, laughter, and endless support. Whether she was sharing stories, celebrating milestones, or simply enjoying a quiet afternoon surrounded by those she loved, Mary's warmth and presence made every moment special.
She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Kriss (Rhoades); her son, Matthew Rhoades; granddaughters Kohana and Camden; her brother, Allen Caron and his wife Eileen; and several nieces and extended family. She was predeceased by her sister, Catherine Murray (Caron).
We invite all who knew and loved her to join us in celebrating her life at Del's Roadside, 4 Smith Rd., Kinderhook, N.Y. 12106, on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 12 to 3 p.m. Your presence, memories, and love would mean so much to our family.

Memories of Mary and I walking together in Kinderhook and sharing memories of raising our children together. Even though I haven´t seen you in years I still consider you one of my close friends.

Life became so much brighter when Mary moved across the street. I hope she knew how special our walks, with her beloved dog Penny, meant to me. The sky was amazing last night, so many bright, blazing stars. I looked up and felt a comfort in knowing my dear friend Mary is at peace. 11/23/24
