Mary VanSchaick Obituary

Van Schaick, Mary A. Bradley CLAYTON, N.C. Mrs. Mary A. Bradley Van Schaick transitioned after a long illness on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at Wake Medical Center in Cary, N.C. She was born on May 30, 1943, in Albany to the late Joseph T. Bradley and Martha Wright Bradley. Mary trained as a nurse before marriage to the late Francis Van Schaick and becoming a mother. She also was director of her own daycare and an E.M.T. in Adams Center, N.Y. Upon moving to Clayton, N.C. she worked with the North Carolina Department of the Secretary of State in Raleigh, N.C. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church and volunteered with the food pantry. She is survived by two daughters, Mary E. Hardie (Al), and Julianna K. Duncan (Kenny); two sons, Francis Joseph Van Schaick (Brynn), and John Gerrit Van Schaick (Leigh Ann); ten grandchildren, Matthew and Sarah Hardie, Nolan, Catherine, Caroline, Owen Van Schaick, Olivia and Liam Van Schaick, Kristen and Kailey Duncan; two sisters, Patricia Sager of Malta, and Virginia Bradley of Clayton, N.C.; one sister-in-law Nancy Porter of Raleigh, N.C., as well as a number of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Memorial services are pending at this time. In lieu of flowers, please make your contribution to the St. Ann's Building Fund in the name of Mary A. Bradley Van Schaick.
