Maureen Jeffers Obituary
ALBANY - Maureen T. (Madden) Jeffers, 93 of Albany, and formerly of County Galway, Ireland passed away peacefully at home on September 20, 2023
Maureen is survived by her sisters, Aggie Daly of Ireland and Philomena Raylinsky of Mechanicville; children, Maureen, Daniel (Margaret), James, Michael (Kimi), Kathleen Futia and John (Leah); grandchildren, Brian III, Christopher, and Erin Jeffers, Brendan and Declan Jeffers, Shannon Jeffers Radliff (Sean), Jack and Michael Jeffers Jr., James Futia Jr., Brianna, John and Gavin Jeffers; and great-grandchildren, Lucas and Aaron Radliff, Cecilia Jeffers, Maci Jeffers and Madden Jeffers. Maureen was predeceased by her husband, Brian; son, Brian Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Rose.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 28, at the Shrine Church of Our Lady of the Americas, 273 Central Avenue at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the church on Thursday after 9 a.m. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery.

I have so many great memories of my visit to her home and all the many visits she made home to Ireland. She was an absolute lady and I will miss her terribly and never forget her. Sincere sympathy to the Jeffers family on Maureen's death. May the Lord comfort you all in your sadness. We prayed for Maureen in her parish church in Fohenagh at the 11.30am Mass on Sunday morning. Fondly remember her recent visit to the Gormally family and to our church in Ballymacward.

Maureen and all the Jeffers family, Your Mom was the rock of your great and beautiful family. Losing her is so very difficult Im sure. She was the quintessential Irish matriarch and one of the sweetest and strongest woman i have known. Her love for her family and devotion to all who knew her was inspiring. May you find comfort in her love for all of you for she would be the first to tell you to keep the family close.
