To Melissa's Family,
I am truly sorry to know of Melissa's passing. She was a great girl who made friends with everyone she met and those of us who had the pleasure of working with her at Empire Blue Cross felt honored by seeing her smiling face each day. Despite her illness, she never complained, instead she made each day count and she always made sure to make others happy.
Melissa will be sadly missed by so many people. Please know my sincere thoughts are with you.

To all who loved Misslissa(AKA)Melissa,
I can't tell you all how much I will miss her.The fun times we had sitting around the fire at MoMo's house. Playing the word games she was so really realllly good at. The TV and movie triva games, and oh ya playing bad mitten. She was so funny so sweet and soooo kind I will miss her more than words can say...And to her family...I will never forget how you all made me feel so welcomed and so loved. And for that i thank you from the bottom of my heart. And to our wonderful Miss Connie,I hope no matter what life has in store for you next, we will never lose touch with each other.

I want to express my condolences on your loss. I worked with Melissa and considered her my friend. She had an infectious personality that will be missed. Oh, Melissa, Melissa, Melissa. My friend. It was nice to hear your voice on the phone after all those years. I was looking forward to seeing you. I will regret not having that opportunity for the remainder of my life. You were such a good friend. I have so many fond memories from our walks to the corner store, weekends and summers being silly at your mom's, crazy games your brother, Steve, use to makes us play just to punch the heck out of us, etc. You gave me many happy memories that I will never forget; many smiles. You were always such a wonderful person. I'm sorry you had to go through what you went through. I would've traded places with you to take away your pain if I could have.
