Merilyn Emerich Obituary

TROY, Ohio Merilyn Lodge Emerich, 76, formerly of Loudonville, died Saturday, August 21, 2004, in Troy, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Ronald and Marjorie Williamson Lodge, and the wife of the late Robert W. Emerich. Mrs. Emerich graduated from the Albany Academy for Girls in 1945 and received a bachelor of science degree in home economics from Middlebury College in 1949. After graduating from Middlebury she worked for B. Lodge & Co. of Albany, a family owned and operated business until 1954, when she retired to raise her children. She was a member of the Roessleville Presbyterian Church, Colonie, the Bethlehem Grange, the Colonie Art League, and the Albany Artists Group. She is survived by her three loving children, Scott Emerich of Danby, Vt., Deborah E. Blanken of Buffalo Grove, Ill., and Dianne E. Tiedemann of Rochester; four grandchildren, Michael and Katie Tiedemann, Samantha Blanken and Joshua Emerich; and one sister, Joyce Lodge Shaw of Troy, Oh. She was predeceased by a brother, Lt. Bradford Lodge. Funeral services 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Bowen Funeral Home, 97 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Friends are invited and may call Wednesday 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment in Albany Rural Cemetery, Albany. Memorial contributions may be made to the Colonie Art League Inc., P.O. Box 941, Latham, NY 12110 or Hospice of Miami County Inc., P.O.
