Michael P. Connelly Sr.

Connelly, Michael P. Sr. ALBANY Michael P. Connelly Sr., 85, entered eternal life on Friday, October 28, 2022, at Evergreen Commons. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Howard and Tess Enright Connelly. Michael was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy. He was a former bartender and manager of Barnsider Restaurant and longtime employee of Kinetic Care and Smith & Nephew in Albany. He had a passion for reading and history. He was the husband of the late Jean M. McCann; dear father of Michele Emerick (Steven), Terri Urbano (Jon), Michael P. Connelly Jr. (Lisa), Lisa Brown (Patrick) and Christina Mulberry (Theodore); brother of the late Patricia Martin; and best friend of Robin Durni. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Michael's family on Tuesday, November 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen St., Albany. Please enter the funeral home from the rear parking lot entrance only. Funeral services on Wednesday, November 2, at 10 a.m. in the Historic Church of St. Mary on Capitol Hill, Lodge and Pine Streets (Father James Lefebvre Way) Albany, where his funeral Mass will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal will be held in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands immediately following the funeral Mass.
