WATERFORD - Mildred J. Bowles, 75 of Broad Street, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Thursday, March 2, 2023.
Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Champine. She, along with her husband, owned and operated Don & Paul's coffee shop. Mildred was an avid traveler and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and adored her grandchildren. When she was not traveling, you could find her watching the Hallmark Channel. She absolutely loved Christmas and would spend the entire year Christmas shopping.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Bowles; her children, John Cunningham (Debbie), Joseph Cunningham (Jenny), and Tammy Bowles (Kevin); and her sister, Barbara Bowles. She was the proud grandmother of Sarah Beth (Josh), Brooke, Colin, Julianna, and Emily; and great-grandmother of Adalynn, and many adopted grandchildren through the years.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 7, at 10 a.m. in the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St., (Rte. 32), Waterford. Interment will be St. Peter & St. Paul Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday, March 6, from 4-7 p.m.
