Mildred C. Mooney

Mooney, Mildred C. ALTAMONT Mildred Lorene Cody Mooney, 73, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2008 at her home after a long illness. Born in Albany, N.Y. on January 8, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Worthington and Mildred Cody. Mildred graduated from Phillip Livingston H.S. and attended Mildred Elley School. She was employed as a legal secretary, teacher's aide and a store manager for Hilton Piano of Albany, retiring in 1991. She was the wife of her High School Sweetheart and "Love of her life," Francis James Mooney. She is survived by her children, her two daughters, Deborah (James) Roberts of Altamont, Sherry (John) Ciupek of Rotterdam; a son, Alan (Marilyn) Mooney of Altamont; and a sister, Jean (Mario) Zacharkevics of Guilderland Center. She was the grandmother of four grandchildren, Eric Ciupek of Long Island, Amy Ciupek of Albany, Allison Ciupek of Rotterdam and Sean Mooney of Altamont; also aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins survive her. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Fredendall Funeral Home, Alta-mont. Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Community Hospice, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany 12205 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 85 Watervliet Ave., Albany 12206.
