Milton Richardson Obituary

Richardson, Milton FREEHOLD Milton Richardson of Freehold, passed away suddenly at his winter home in Weslaco, Texas on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. Milt was born on June 16, 1939, in Catskill. He is preceded by his parents, Clifton George and Dorothy Mae Winn Richardson; along with his siblings, Marian Richardson Woehrman, Clifton George Richardson, Viola Richardson Kudlack, and Gerald Richardson. He graduated from Greenville Central School in 1957. He married his sweetheart Glenna Hotaling on July 23, 1960. Milt and his brother Clifton (Sonny) Richardson II were partners in the 100 year old family business of C. Richardson and Sons Water Well Drilling. When Sonny retired, Milt's wife Glenna became his silent partner, until they closed the doors on October 28, 2004. Milt and Glenna had four children, Glenna Magee (Randy), Kathleen (Kathy) Maggio (Jim Karkheck), Aleta Saravia (Jose) and Erick Richardson (Jill). He also had seven grandchildren, Erin and Ryan Magee, Heather and Erick Maggio, Ricardo Saravia, Alexander and Elena Richardson; and one great-grandchild Peter Ivan Webster son of Erick Maggio. Milton was a Member of the National Guard, International Union of Operating Engineers, Greenville Central School Board, Cairo Durham Elks #2630, Catskill Elks Lodge #1341, Gold Wing Road Riders Association Chapter L, and GWRRA Chapter V Valley Wings of Weslaco. He was honored to be a lifetime member of Freehold Vol. Fire Company. He served as president of The Empire Well Drillers Association, and sponsored the Greenville Little League Baseball and Greenville Babe Ruth Baseball teams for multiple years. Milt was truly kind, wise and caring. He worked and lived with integrity and fairness, and when you heard his big, hearty laugh, you had no choice but to laugh with him. His most valued titles were Dad, Uncle, and Papa. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.
