Miriam C. Nowak

COLONIE Miriam C. Ruddy Nowak, 67, of Colonie, died Sunday, May 11, 2003 at her residence. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Miriam Clark Ruddy. Miriam has been a Colonie resident for most of her life. She worked at Shaker Road Elementary School in Loudonville and more recently with the Colonie Community Day Care. Miriam was a longtime communicant of St. Francis DeSales Church. She was predeceased in 2001 by her husband, Stanley J. Nowak. She is the beloved mother of Lynn Nowak Messier, Joseph M. Nowak, both of Loudonville, John J. Nowak of Clifton Park and Paul F. Nowak of Colonie. She was the sister of the late Karen Ruddy. She is the cherished grandmother of Glenn Messier, Jessica and Nicole Nowak. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be Friday morning at 8:00 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) thence to St. Francis DeSales Church, Maria Drive at 9:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
