"Dr Houghton" became "Myron" to me from my time at DBBC and over the next forty-five years. It was also my privilege (before he got his driver's license and the brown Pinto) to drive with Myron to church--and to many, many pleasant meals. Although my theological perspective has somewhat evolved over the years, the foundation of faith in God's saving grace in Christ, the veracity and authority of Holy Scripture, and of Christ's Church as pillar and ground of the Truth that I received from Myron's faithful instruction shall always guide my life. Myron Houghton also became a model for me in my own teaching career, and I shall always be grateful for our association and friendship through God's gracious Providence. Now, his spirit is freed from earthly bondage to see our Lord and Savior face-to-face in Glory, where one glimpse resolves all theologizing into eternal love and thankful praise. Thank You, Lord, for your faithful servant, Myron.

I have many fond memories of time spent with Myron and George during our shared time at Dallas Seminary. I regret that we were unable to maintain contact over the years. I am grateful for the evidence of his wonderful contribution to theological education for many years. May God give his family many happy memories, peace for today, and resurrection hope for tomorrow.
