Nancy Formato Obituary
Nancy's radiant beauty, effervescent personality and undeniable warmth earned her numerous beauty pageant crowns, from Albany's Tulip Queen in 1962 to Miss New York State in 1966; and a top spot in the Miss U.S.A. Pageant that same year. A scholarship at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts brought Nancy to Manhattan, where she became a fashion and runway model before turning to publishing at the New Yorker Magazine.
But Nancy's true pride, passion, and joy were her family and friends, all of whom cherish the light and laughter that Nancy brought to every conversation and the love she bestowed on every relationship.
She is desperately missed by her children, Jill Andruss and Austin Formato; their spouses, Jim Andruss, and Alicia Formato; and grandchildren, Abigail and William Andruss; and by the friends she has remained so close with throughout the years.
A memorial service will be held at Westchester Funeral Home, Inc. Eastchester, NY on Sunday, June 4 from 2-6 p.m., with eulogies beginning at 5 p.m.

I'm so very saddened to learn of Nancy's passing. She was my roommate at the Enclave in Rye last fall and we hit off right away. She made me laugh when life seemed so dismal. We kept in touch after my discharge and it looked forward to speaking with her and catching up on her progress and hearing the latest on her children.
My deepest condolences to "Buddy" and Jill and her beloved family. Ashby too. I will miss her. May she rest in the Lord's perfect peace forever.
