Nick's #RileyStrong mantra is so inspiring & will carry on.
The CCHS class of '93 will always remember the sexiest guy in school. You were much more, though, my friend. Pray for us & we'll meet again.

Dear Nick's parents, his siblings, and especially Nicole and Nick's children. Along with the rest of Nick's family and the unbreakable friendships he's had over his lifetime and the new ones he made through this journey. I have just found out about his passing and found this link. I am so deeply sorry for your devastating loss.
I went to CCHS and also saw him with his family and good friends over the past (closed to) 30 years...be nothing but like a positive influence to them and hold higher standards for them all. I saw Nick as a passionate, determined, comical and true best friend to his friends and children you could ever have. He wanted the best life him and his family and for his friends (and their families) too.
I share a God Son with Nick and it saddens me to think another young child will be effected by this loss- because he had so much positivity and experience for a child to learn from. However, what we must remind ourselves is that how much Nick passionately cared for his family and friends (and their families) and special people in his life. This is where this loss- becomes a blessing, because all of these people will have an angel, closely watching over them, protecting them, giving them strength, making sure they are safe from harm, Nick will just be waiting to be called upon. Nick will always be there in some positive way for you. Always look for him, he is there.
The Lord will walk beside you through these days of Sorrow, just as, through the years, He has walked with you in days of joy.
May you find new hope and strength in His love and comfort in the thoughts and prayers of those who care about you.

I played baseball with Bob. Not to mention Bob(Nicks dad) was our postal carrier for years. The Riley's are always a cornerstone family in the Burgh! May Nick rest in peace now with God. From the day we met he was so kind and got to spend the day seeing his son playing football at a game . He was surrounded with family and friends and we got to walk around Saratoga. He was all about family and that is one thing I loved about him and his personality and drive for life . He is one of a kind and he was loved by so many.

The Bourdeau’s lived across the street from the Riley’s during our entire childhood. Over the past couple of years I only saw Nick a few times; always while I was at work and he was at St. Mary’s for treatment. Brief encounters in the lobby or cafeteria or parking lot and he was always so positive and strongly determined in his fight. I keep thinking of our crusader Alma mater song...what each letter stood for and boy did Nick prove true to the high ideals of a crusader. I’m sorry I can’t be with you all but my deepest condolences to Mr and Mrs Riley, Bob, Stacey, and Nick’s children.

I never had the privilege of meeting Nick it was only through all his amazing friends posting pictures and saying what a super man he really was.
I felt I knew him. He was an incredible human being and his death touched many lives.
