Nonette C. Benedetto

Benedetto, Nonette C. ALBANY Nonette C. Benedetto, 84, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Albany Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 5, 1934, in Buffalo, a daughter of the late Millard and Dorothea (Roth) Work. Nonette was a graduate of Vincentian Institute in Albany. Working various jobs throughout her career, Nonette was a volunteer in the library at Shaker Road Elementary school and retired after 15 years from Sears in Colonie. Nonette was also an active sorority member of Beta Sigma Phi. Survivors include her loving husband, James Benedetto, whom she married on October 24, 1953; sons, Michael Benedetto (Karen) and David Benedetto (Julie); brothers, Robert Work (Jean) and Martin Work (late Virginia); grandchildren, Jilliane Benedetto, Deanna Sanchez (Andrew), Katelyn Benedetto and Steven Benedetto; and great-granddaughter, Adrianna. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Calling hours for Nonette will be held on Thursday, March 22, from 4 until 7 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, where a prayer service will be held on Friday, March 23, at 9 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville.
