Pamela Lopez Obituary

Lopez, Pamela A. BRUNSWICK Pamela Ann Lopez, 74, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, morning, December 4, 2018, with her loving family by her side. Born in Lynbrook, N.Y. on July 12, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Stanley. Pamela was a people person who enjoyed being part of many groups and clubs. She was a Brownie troop leader, a member of the Brunswick Elks Lodge Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Body and Souls of the Gilead Lutheran Church, a member of the Classy Ladies (formerly the Red Hats), and also a member of the Mahjong Girls. She worked for Rensselaer Honda for 35 years where she was an integral member of the staff. Pamela loved to travel, meeting new people and making friends wherever she went. Her travels brought her to Aruba, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Cruises to the Caribbean, and Puerto Rico with her best friend Delores. While she enjoyed traveling the world, she also loved to stay home and lay by her pool with a good book. Pamela is survived by her daughter, Margaret (Richard) Lopez-Hyde; her siblings, Robert (Jeanine) Gilson and Kathy (Paul) Fernandes; many nieces and nephews; her granddog Nitro Blue, her grandcat Mistletoe, and her baby boy Wilson. She was preceded in death by her adoring husband, Edward Lopez; her in-laws, Armando and Elizabeth Lopez; her siblings, Robert Stanley, David (late Ruth) Stanley, and Barbara (late Joe) Attenborough; her niece Valerie Linaberg; nephew Robert Gilson IV; and her dear friend Delores Mossey. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 7, at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Victory Church, 55 North Lake Ave., Troy. Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation on Thursday, December 6, from 4 until 7 p.m. at Doran Funeral Home, 9 South Lake Ave., Troy. Dear Margee and family,
I am very saddened to hear about your Mom. She has done so much to help out at Gilead, with serving at all the dinners! Her smile, caring nature, and sense of humor will be very sadly missed.
Sincerely, Kat Boomhower-Raymond
