Piscitella Pickett, Patricia A.
GREEN ISLAND - Patricia A. Piscitella Pickett, 87, passed away peacefully at home on October 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Troy, N.Y., on March 3, 1938, Pat was the daughter of the late Sebastian and Angeline Mango Piscitella; and the loving wife of the late John "Jack" Pickett. She grew up in Troy and attended Troy City Schools. Pat worked in Woolworth in downtown Troy, before she began her first career at Montgomery Ward, in Menands, until it closed in 1980, and went on to her second career in the Troy City Hall Assessor's Office, until her retirement. Pat spent many years volunteering at the C. Y. O. Center in Troy, and was a member of the Italian Community Center in Troy, the Green Island Senior Center, and the Menands Senior Citizens. Pat had many interests including winters in Hollywood Beach Fla., cooking, ceramics, bowling, bocce, trips to N.Y.C., Broadway plays and musicals, BINGO, penny slots, card games, riding her scooter, and spending time with her many friends and family. She also looked forward to the annual family picnic at Saratoga Race Track. Pat's true passion was traveling. She was always on the go, and loved to travel anywhere anyone wanted to go, as her bags were always packed. Pat's favorite travel partner was her daughter and best friend, Colleen. They went on 22 cruises together, and countless other vacations, spanning over 50 years.
Pat is survived by her loving daughter, Colleen Pickett (Diane Myslowski); her sister, Rose Piscitella; her sister-in-law, Mary Ann Piscitella; most special niece, Angie Gavin (Tim Strife); special niece, Maria Keary (Shawn Viana); special nephew, Tommy Piscitella (Angela); beloved nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, many, many other "adopted" nieces and nephews, who affectionally called her "Aunt Pat," and many devoted friends.
