Hayner, Patrick
MECHANICVILLE - Patrick Joseph Hayner, 65, longtime resident of Mechanicville, died unexpectedly at Samaritan Hospital on September 8, 2024. Born in Troy on January 19, 1959, he was the son of Vera Robinson Hayner of Schaghticoke, and the late Walter Hayner.
Pat was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and trapping. He was also a skilled wood carver and just an overly clever guy when it came to fixing things. He loved to tinker with anything in need of repair.
Survivors include his children, Jeremy Hayner, Daniel Hayner, Mathew Hayner, and Jesse (Cierra) Hayner; his granddaughter, Skyler Hayner; siblings, Dennis, Daniel, and Tim Hayner, and Eileen Minor; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Linda Schechter, and John and Walter Hayner.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 5-7 p.m. at DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S. Main St., Mechanicville, N.Y. Please visit www.devito-salvadorefh.com to leave condolences, or share memories and photos you may have of Pat, with his family.
