I've been selected to assume command of the NYNM largely due to RADM Czesak's dedication and leadership when I first joined the USNR and NYNM. As have several others before me with the NYNM growing to 3,100 members and a fleet of 11 boats. What a lasting legacy of great benefit to the entire State during times of crisis.

Admiral Czesak will be sorely missed. I worked with him on several projects at the Division of Military and Naval Affairs and aboard the USS Slater. I appreciated his wise counsel and friendship.
