Kane, Paul B. RENSSELAER Paul B. Kane, 73, passed away on Friday December 27, 2013 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Albany and has been a resident of Rensselaer all his life. Paul was a graduate of Van Rensselaer High School Class of 1958, and was a US Marine Corps veteran. After his service time he was employed in the banking industry and then retired from Amtrak. He was an avid golfer, N.Y. Yankees fan, N.Y. Giants fan, and loved to cook for people he loved. Loving husband of Shirley A. Denton Kane; beloved son of the late Thomas A. and Mary J. Fragomen Kane; devoted son-in-law of Janet Denton; beloved father of Michael A. (Theresa) Kane, Kristin K. (Michael) Stewart, Stacey A. (Robert) Crain, and Melissa A. Kane; loving grandfather of Jessica, Kaitlin, Zachary, Chelsea, Elizabeth, Karly, Sean, Thomas, and Liam; adoring great-grandfather of Zoey; devoted brother of Richard (Marsha) Kane and the late Maureen Kane DeJohn; dearly loved brother-in-law of Mark and Donna Conroy and family. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer Monday at 6 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
