And to an earlier person who wanted to know if the stories Pete told were true...the answer is an unequivocal YES!!!...Say hello to "No. 7, THE MICK" for us Pete!!!

Bernadine,
I am glad to see that friends are still writing remembrances about Pete. I am so sorry you lost your brother and we lost a friend we knew when we were all young. I met Pete when we were 15 and 16 and of course he had us laughing constantly. I learned all about Woodstock from him and still wonder to this day if his stories were true! I later ended up teaching at an Elementary School in Northern California named Woodstock and thought of Pete often. I had the good fortune to speak to him on the telephone a month before he died for the first time in 30 years thanks to my brother Dominick who called me when he ran into Pete. Pete sounded really great and friendly as ever. He touched our lives with humor and warmth. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.

I guess it needs to be said that Pete Sr. (The Barber) was the original greeter in front of the Fischetti Barber Shop and home on Congress St. Pete Jr. loyally assumed the role from his Dad when his Dad passed ...... I will still look for the two of you whenever I drive by this location and even though I may not see you ...... your presences will be felt.

I had one of the saddest weekends when I had to say good-bye to a truly great friend that I've known for over 40 years. He will surely be missed and his friendship will always be rememebered. The fishing trips, the ferry to Foxwood's, Saratoga, Lake George, Atlantic city and just sitting on the deck in the Hampton's sucking down bloody mary's and doing crossword puzzles. May god keep him under his wing he deserves it. I'll miss you Pete

Pete and I did some crazy things as kids. One than stands out was when were hid at the top of his driveway and threw snowballs at passing cars on Pawling Ave. One of us threw one through the window of a Troy Police car and knocked a cup of coffee out of the hand of a cop. Pete ran faster, I got caught, he didn't. Anyway, they threatened me but I wouldn't tell them who was with me ..... can I tell now Pete?
Bernadine & Family, I am so very sorry for your and our loss.

I remember being at Pete's house the day our astronauts landed on the moon (July 1969?) We celebrated with a case of beer or two or three... Everytime I would drive by his house in my 442 he would yell "GET ON IT, DOM!!" and I would light up the tires for him! Great memories of a great guy. God Bless.

Unarguably the greatest "Ballbuster" of all time...anywhere, ever.It is impossible to think of Pete without smiling even now. He never let adulthood get in the way of a fifty year adolescence.I am so proud and fortunate to have had him as a friend. "Couple of beers Zeke?" When and where dear friend? Mike Langley

To Peter Fischetti's family: I haven't seen Peter since graduation at St. John Fisher College but remember him as a great and very funny guy. I enjoyed being with him. Many of his Fisher friends gathered in Rochester last summer to remember other deceased classmates and Peter was talked about quite a bit. Please accept my condolences and prayers.
