AMSTERDAM - Philip Clifton Lohre, Of Amsterdam, N.Y., passed away, on February 6, 2025, in Albany, after complications with heart surgery.
He was born in Albany on October 16th, 1964, to David and Beverly Lohre, both deceased. He is survived by his loving wife, Maria of 16 years; three step-children; and multiple grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Marcus (Heidi) and James; two nieces, (Rebekkah & Kira); and a nephew, Chris. Cousins, Timothy Mirabile, Joseph Mirabile, Michael Mirabile, Diedre Koslowski (Phibbs) and Page Sasidek (Phibbs); as well as his Uncle David Phibbs. He is predeceased by his cousins, Charles Mirabile and Jonathan Phibbs.
Phil and Maria travelled the world as teachers. He will be greatly missed by many people from around the globe. Upon his return from his overseas employment, he was a substitute teacher for the Amsterdam public schools.
His travels and career brought him to Europe, the Middle East, Asia and a number of the former Soviet Republics. He touched the lives of so many people, in a positive way, worldwide.
