Raymond Miller Obituary

Miller, Raymond "Ray" Gordon III FORT MYERS, Fla. Raymond "Ray" Gordon Miller III, 70 of Fort Myers, peacefully transitioned at his home in Florida on October 27, 2021, to continue to serve his greater purpose. Ray was born in Fort Worth, Texas and raised in Rotterdam. Ray was a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, teacher, mentor and a friend to all he knew and passed his way. Ray was able to speak to anyone at their level and beloved by all that met him. His positivity and love radiated and those in his presence could feel his unconditional love and acceptance. Ray put others needs above his own and was always there, if and when you needed him... even if you didn't know you needed him. Ray lived his life to the fullest and embraced his family and friends. Ray always made time for you - he listened to you, he gave his guidance, he gave his love, and his heart knew no bounds. Ray was a man of truth, beauty, love and positivity and if you had the blessing to cross his path a piece of him will live with you forever. He will forever be remembered, and his legacy, love and light will continue to live on through the people that have been touched by him. Ray was predeceased by his father, Raymond Miller Jr., and is survived by his mother, Arlene Miller; his brother, Charles Miller; his son, Bryan Miller; his daughter, Danielle Miller; the children's mother, Debra Miller-Camp (Warren); his niece, Melody Miller (Shohn); and his nephews, Todd Miller (Kristen), Kevin Miller and Thomas LaVallee (Laurie). In keeping with Ray's wishes, there will be no calling hours. Ray wanted a celebration of the life he lived and an appreciation for those he loved. The family is grateful for condolences, love and support. An online celebration of Ray's life and legacy is planned for November 16, at 6 p.m. More details may be found at: https://celebraterayslife.com. Ray was the first person I communicated with after I refound my Urantia Book. Somehow he was there. He invited me to several TR groups which were very insightful. He initiated me into this larger Urantian family. Always a light and whenever I asked for some. A truth among all of us. Peace be with you Ray and I look forward to seeing you in my next transition

The best part of my life growing up was my friendship with Ray. I experienced life in a whole other way than other people. If not for the 52 year friendship with my friend and brother, I don't believe I would have had the rich and full life of discovery and adventure I did. I can't tell you all the things we did and the times we shared. Memories are all I have and hope I can keep until it's my time to leave this life and start a new one. I love that man and will never forget. Ray have a safe and new journey. See ya buddy.
