Brown, Richard Eugene Jr. MECHANICVILLE Richard Eugene Brown Jr., of River Road passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015, at his home in the company of his loving family. He was 68. Born in Troy on March 8, 1947, a son of the late Richard and Dorothy (Post) Brown Sr. He is the husband of Dorothy (Wright) Brown who he married on May 22, 1971. Mr. Brown worked for NYSEG as a chief lineman. He was a member of the Italian Fraternal Hall and the Sons of the American Legion, Riverside. He enjoyed sports, especially his favorite team the New York Yankees. Recently he sunk a hole in one at the Saratoga Lake Golf Course. Above all he loved his family. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren excel in both sports and music. They were the light of his life. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife of 44 years, Dorothy include his children, Samuel Brown and Valerie (Michael) D'Aloia both of Mechanicville; his siblings, Dennis Brown of Stillwater, Jimmy (Debbie) Brown of Mechanicville, Melissa Carknard of Canajoharie, Linda DeMarco of Mechanicville and Beverly (Mark) Dahlin of Wilton; his beloved grandchildren, Ryan Brown, Ethan Brown, Anthony D'Aloia and Nevaeh D'Aloia. He is predeceased by his brothers, Jeff Brown and Danny Brown. Relatives and friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2015, at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 319 Park Ave. Mechanicville. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, at All Saints on the Hudson Church, North Campus (former St. Peter's Church) in Stillwater.
