Rich is a very kind, talented, and humble colleague. He likes to walk around in the hall way of the Earth Science building. I have fond memories of discussing math and gardening with him. He likes to talk about his tomato plants and once said that he grew hundreds of them in the backyard. I was quite amazed since I only grow about 6 each season. Rich, RIP! Ron Yang
