Hoult, Richard V. "Dick" NORTH GREENBUSH Richard V. "Dick" Hoult, 84 of North Greenbush, died on March 23, 2022, at Albany Medical Center following a brief illness. He is survived by his loving and beloved wife, Judith Q. Hoult (Quinlan); daughter, Kati Owen and her husband Guy Owen of Cumming, Ga.; son, Rich Hoult of Voorheesville; and grandchildren, Chrissy Hoult of Voorheesville, Maggie Owen of Denver, Colo., Dori Owen of Cumming, Ga, and Ian Hoult of Voorheesville. Growing up in Delmar, he was a graduate of Bethlehem Central High School, where he played on the basketball and tennis teams. He went on to SUNY Albany, where he earned his master's degree in education. He was a teacher, with the bulk of his career as a math teacher at Columbia High School in East Greenbush. His greatest passion was coaching and playing tennis, having played in, and winning numerous local tennis tournaments. He spent his life providing for his family and knowing everything. Dick was a good friend and more than a worthy opponent on the tennis court. There are a lot of fond memories of him, particularly from the days playing on our family court in our backyard in Nassau every Sunday morning. We all miss his presence.

Dick was a good friend of the Motta family on many levels having coached both my sister Lynn and brother Dean while at Columbia High School. Dick spent many a Sunday morning at our court in Nassau playing doubles with our regular crew. Personally, I fondly recall many matches Dick and I played against on another, most memorably at the Albany Tennis Club where he was a mainstay for many years. He will be missed by all for his loyalty and sense of humor. He was a good friend.
