Richetta "Rita" Valenti

Valenti, Richetta "Rita" CLEARWATER, Fla. Richetta "Rita" Valenti, 77, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. She was born in Troy on March 13, 1944, to the late Joseph and Mary Valenti. Rita lived most of her years in Troy before moving to Clearwater, Fla. in 2008 to be near her children and grandchildren. She graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1962 and worked in various office positions along with owning the shop Wicker World. Rita was a super likable, amiable, friendly, kind, and considerate soul. She had great passion for making friends and socializing. Rita had many lifelong friends whom she spoke with daily. Rita loved her plants and flowers and was an expert green thumb. She also loved cooking, playing cards with friends and Lightning hockey. Survivors include her children, Peter J. Felitti Jr. of Clearwater, and Gina M. (Marty) Deptula of Tampa; grandchildren, Nicholas and Lauren Deptula; brother John Valenti of Troy, several nieces and nephews and many lifelong friends. Rita was predeceased by her siblings, Louis Valenti, Anthony Valenti, Joseph Valenti, Patrick Valenti, and Richard Valenti. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 6, in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 416 3rd St, Troy at 12 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until 12 p.m.
