Bob was a friend and neighbor for nearly forty years. His gentle and generous nature was always present and welcoming. We think often of Bob's curiosity and enthusiasm which never diminished and is still an inspiration. (How many people do you know who take-up the banjo in their 90's??). Susanne would bake chocolate chip cookies to share with Bob and I always told him that I would teat them to see if they were "Bob worthy". He would smile today (like he did when he saw those cookies) if he knew that it is still the gold standard. Rest in Peace.

Bob was our across the street neighbor for about 25 years. He was an amazing man and wonderful neighbor. We use to worry about him standing on a ladder painting his house when he was well into his 90s. When we chastised him about being on a ladder, he would smile and shrug.
We can still picture him going on his walk around the block, often flinging a cane back and forth with each step. He walked very quickly and stood very straight.
He did many things to keep his mind active, including playing the guitar.
We moved from Paxwood in August 2021 and we truly missed not seeing Bob on a regular basis.
