COLONIE - Robert E. "Bob" Bombard, 83, of Colonie, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born in Albany, the son of the late Arthur J. and Virginia Van Dyke Bombard. He lived in the area all his life and was employed by General Electric Co. for many years. He also was an active member of the IUE Local 301, in Schenectady. Bob enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, photography and was a big fan of the New York Giants.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy R. Blanchette Bombard; his children, Robert T. "Todd" Bombard (Judy) of Bellingham, Mass., Matthew Bombard, Chad Bombard both of East Greenbush, N.Y., James Masa (Angelina) of Delanson, N.Y., Annette Seymour (Carlos) of Valrico, Fla., and Nicole Felix (Juan) of Albany, N.Y.; dear family friend, Laurie Bentley, who was like a daughter; his brothers, James Bombard of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Thomas Bombard (Joan) of Castleton, N.Y.; his sister, Susan Rounds (John) of Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Jack and Ethan Bombard, Grace and Jonathan Bombard, Mia, Jimmy, Richie, Lucy, Joey and Tommy Masa, Yasmeen and Xavier Seymour, Ryan McCormick (Tori), Gabriella Scalise, Marcello and Addisyn Felix. He was predeceased by his sister, Joan Bombard. The family extends a special thank you to Emily and Deb from Community Hospice for the wonderful care they provided. Calling hours will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Tuesday, July 15, from 4-7 p.m., with a service following at 7 p.m.
