Robert Felter Obituary
COEYMANS HOLLOW - Robert V. Felter, 92, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 13, 2025.
Robert was the son of the late Vernon Felter and Edna (Rowe) Felter. Born in Clermont, Columbia County, Robert grew up in Catskill, Westerlo, and then eventually Feura Bush. He graduated from Bethlehem Central High School in 1951, and SUNY Cobleskill in 1953. Robert served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1956. He went on to be employed at the Normanskill Dairy before retiring from Crowley Foods (Albany).
He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Lorraine (Appleby) Felter; daughter, Rachel M. Felter; brother, Stanley (Carolyn); and sister, Juanita Wagner (Edward). He is survived by sister, Marjorie Cootware (Clayton, predeceased); and brother, Edward (MaryEllen); and children, Elise (Richard) Voorhaar, and Andrew (Karen) Felter. He was the proud grandfather of Ryan and Hannah Voorhaar and Maura, Liam, Aidan, and Tess Felter. He also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family, church family, and many friends.
Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Saturday, October 25, at the Onesquethaw Reformed Church, 11 Groesbeck Rd., Feura Bush, N.Y. A service will follow at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to either the Onesquethaw Reformed Church food pantry or its Camp Fowler Youth Scholarship Fund.
