Robert H. Finke

Finke, Robert H. KNOX Robert H. Finke, 90, passed away March 5, 2018, at his son's home in Knox. Robert was born on July 8, 1927, in Albany to Henry and Jennie Finke. Bob served in the Navy during World War II and shortly after married his lifelong sweetheart, Betty Jean Francisco. Bob and Betty married on December 5, 1948, and enjoyed a tremendous 69 years together. They had four children together and in 1977, Bob started Finke Equipment with his son John, out of their garage. Bob had a brilliant mind and was a self-taught accountant for the business. He started with nothing, but with persistence and hard work he lived the American Dream. Bob and Betty enjoyed their retirement years together taking many trips and eventually living in Port Saint Lucie, Fla. Bob was a great husband, father, grandfather and friend, he made an impact on everyone's lives he touched and he will be greatly missed. Mr. Finke is survived by his four children and their spouses, John (Janet), Pamela (Steve), Robert (Lili), and Fletcher (Maureen). He will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Heather, Jared, Kyle, Lauren, Aubrey, Ariel, Mark, Mike, Matt, Melissa and Miles. At his request, there will be a private service for immediate family this summer.
