I didn't know Agent Wanko, but I'll also remember his moment of standing guard at the Hilton after Reagan, Jim Brady, Agent McCarthy, and Officer Delahanty were wounded. I was reminded of Agent Wanko in the wake of the recent Trump shooting, and looked him out of curiosity.
I'm sorry to learn that he passed away last year. His image will always be here to remind people of the bravery of those who volunteer to go into action when everyone else is ducking for cover.
