GUILDERLAND - In the early morning hours of July 31, 2025, Roberta "Bobbie" Osborn passed away peacefully, with her daughter, Jen Osborn, by her side.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ronald E. Osborn Sr. Roberta is survived by her children, Dorothea Osborn, Ronald R. Osborn, Joe Osborn, James Osborn, Wayne Osborn, Jen Osborn, and Sara Osborn. She is also survived by her brothers, Tom O'Connor (Ann Marie), Dennis O'Connor; and her sister, Shirley Ratta (Hank).
Roberta was a loving grandmother to Noel Osborn, Hezekiah Bulnes, Isabella Bulnes, Sabrina Kafouris, Sabastion Kafouris, Malak Osborn, Walid Osborn, and Adam Osborn. She is also remembered fondly by Robert Wloch, a former exchange student from Germany; his wife, Anne Wloch; and their daughter, Flora - who have remained a cherished part of the family. Many nieces, nephews, and extended family also survive her.
Roberta, alongside her husband, Ronald, devoted her life to raising not only their own children, but also their grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and others - always with unconditional love. She was there for all of us through illness, healing, hospital stays, and broken bones - many of them.
Over the years, Roberta held many jobs, including cook at the Selkirk Y and the RCS Daycare Center, where she also served as bookkeeper. She spent many years as the Nutrition Specialist for the Troy Head Start program. Passionate about food and service, she earned her degree in Culinary Arts from Schenectady County Community College, graduating at the top of her class with honors.
Roberta found joy in cooking for family and friends and in serving her church and community. Her generous, nurturing spirit touched countless lives. Even after retirement, she continued to care for her grandchildren, helping shape the wonderful people they have become.
She will be deeply missed, and her absence will be felt every day. Funeral service Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to noon. Friends may call 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at South Bethlehem United Methodist, 65 Willowbrook Ave., S. Bethlehem, N.Y. 12161.
