Ronald Brust Obituary

Brust, Ronald E. SARATOGA SPRINGS Ronald E. Brust, of Saratoga Springs, died following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer with his loving family at his side. He was 57. Born on November 3, 1950 in Troy, N.Y. and was the son of Ronald W. and Irene (Cark-nard) Brust. Ron was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during Vietnam. He was employed by the Watervliet Arsenal as a quality control inspector. Ron was a very warm and loving husband, father, brother, son, grandfather and father-in-law he will be greatly missed. He was especially happy when he was spending time with his grandchildren; he also enjoyed gardening, painting or watching the races at the horse track. He was an avid New York Jets fan. Ron is survived by his loving wife, Merleann (DeLude) and his mother Irene; also, his daughters, Jody (Ryan) Kendrick of Ravena, Jennifer Brust of Waterford and Nicole (Michael Jr.) Pickel of Clifton Park; grandchildren, Tory and Jenna Kendrick and Aaliyah Ricks; brothers, David Brust of Mechanicville, Gerald Brust of Schaghticoke, Terry Brust of Valley Falls, John Brust of Mechanicville, Michael Brust of Valley Falls; sister, Tracey (Brust) Mowrey of Valley Falls. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his father, Ronald W. Brust and his brother, Gerry Brust. Relatives and friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373). A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville with military honors. Memorial contributions in memory of Ron may be made to the Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence Street, Saratoga Springs, NY.
