Ronald Rausch Obituary

Rausch, Ronald HANNACROIX Ronald Rausch, of Hannacroix, passed away on March 19, 2018, at Columbia Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Ronald was born to the late Otto and Rita Rausch on December 31, 1946. He is survived by one brother Jeffery Rausch of Watervliet. He was a devoted companion of 31 years to Beverly Hoogkamp; and a loving father to Joseph Hoogkamp. He served in the U.S. Army as an artillery man and as a paratrooper in the Vietnam War. He was a master mechanic at Denooyer Chevrolet; and a bus driver examiner, 19-A examiner, and trainer for 35 years until his retirement five years ago. He was also an indie film actor in many "JB Productions" movies. There will be a memorial service at The Coxsackie Hose Company # 3, 218 Mansion St., Coxsackie, date and time to be announced. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of The W.C. Brady's Sons Inc. Funeral Home, Coxsackie. Condolences may be made at www.wcbradyssonsinc.net.

Rest in peace, Ronald. I haven't seen you since graduating from HVCC in 1967. You were a nice young man and classmate. I now live in Sydney area, on the NSW Central Coast, Australia. Sincere condolences to Ronald's family.

I'm sorry to read of Ron's passing. He was a great guy. I happily remember all the charters he, Gary Cusson and I drove together when we all worked at Laidlaw in Latham. It was great fun! My condolences to his family.
