Ruby R. Steinhardt

Steinhardt, Ruby R. HIGHLAND Ruby R. Steinhardt, a former long-time Albany resident, died on October 15, 2021, in Highland, N.Y. Ruby was born on February 16, 1931, in Brookline, Mass. and moved to Albany in 1966 to be close to her parents, Arnold and Esther Rosenberg. A college graduate, she worked in the Albany Medical Center Library and loved her time there. Ruby was active in Hadassah and in the B'nai B'Brith Albany chapter. She loved the theater and was active in Albany Civic Theater for many years. She spent years creating beautiful needlepoints, and Bargello, while also knitting and crocheting lovely blankets, scarves, and anything else for family and friends that caught her fancy. Ruby was the daughter of the late Esther and Arnold Rosenberg. She is survived by her children, Emily Marenburg, and Jerry Marenburg, and their respective spouses, Roger Dillon, and AnneMarie Marenburg; as well as her beloved granddaughters, Sydney and Morgan Marenburg. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Steinhardt. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 20, in the Congregation Beth Emeth Cemetery, 58 Turner Lane, also known as Cemetery Road, in Loudonville.
