Ruth A. Kuhne

Kuhne, Ruth A. BALLSTON LAKE Ruth A. Kuhne, 83 of Ballston Lake, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022, with her loving family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Eugene "Gene" Kuhne; parents, Lillian and Carl Johnson; and sister, Dolores Sinski. Born in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn she met Gene when she was a member of Triangle and Gene a member of Demolay. They married before settling on Long Island and then relocated to Ballston Lake. Ruth gave her time and talent to save every person, plant, and creature ever to be discovered in need. Before Alzheimer's, Ruth had mastered the piano having been gifted a baby grand as a child for her accomplishments. She taught wedding cake decorating and floral design. She was teacher, veterinarian, wife, and mom. Her passions included her family, all children (she always had a stash of gifts for kids), St. George's Church, St. James Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Shriners as a member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine. She is survived by her children, Scott Kuhne of Rexford, Susan Kuhne of Latham, and Jeffrey Kuhne of Ballston Lake; grandchildren, Emily Kuhne and Dean Kuhne of Clifton Park, as well as nieces, great-nieces and nephews, and all of her beloved friends. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 30, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Rte. 9, Clifton Park. A Christian Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. in St. George's Episcopal Church on Route 146 in Clifton Park.
