VOORHEESVILLE - Sandra Nietsche Flansburg, 88, died May 14, 2025, at St. Peter's Hospital Hospice. Wife of her late devoted husband and best friend, William L. Flansburg. Loving mother of William Flansburg, of Rensselaerville, and Anne Flansburg Sager (Mike Hall), of Bethlehem.

This is Jane McGrath Ostrowidzki of Sun City, Georgetown, TX. I just found out Sandy passed away. It is very sad news to receive. Sandy and I were classmates at Albany Business College. Later we shared an apartment on State Street, Albany. I also worked for the New York State Police until I got married December 1960. After my husband retired from the military we moved back to Albany where my husband worked for the NYS Department of Corrections and we bought a house in Wheathersfield, a short distance from Voorheesville and not far from Sandy and Bills' home. I bowled with Sandy for a few years. We moved to Texas after Joe retired the second time, but always kept in touch with them. Whenever we made it back East we would get together for dinner. After Joe and Bill passed away I would still get together with Sandy whenever I got back to Albany. My thoughts and prayers go out to Anne and Billy.
