Sarah Bevis Obituary
COLONIE - Sarah Jean (Lori) Bevis, 83, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at home.
Sarah was born in Schaghticoke, N.Y., the daughter of James Bevis and Reba (Viall) Bevis.
Sarah enjoyed traveling, golf, Broadway shows, and family get-togethers.
She retired as a computer operator for N.Y.S. Department of Tax and Finance, after many years.
Survivors include her companion of 50 years, Floyd Wilbur; sister, Iva Jane (Tink) Tordoff; brother-in-law, Albert McDonald; niece, Lisa (Paul) Waters; nephews, David (Jill) Tordoff, Timothy (Karen) Tordoff, Stephen (Amy) Carknard, AJ and Michael McDonald; and many grandnieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, James and Reba Bevis; sisters, Betty Carknard and Gayle Marie McDonald; brother-in law, Roger Tordoff; and nephew, Keith Tordoff.
Relatives and friends may call Monday, November 10, 4 to 6:30 p.m. followed by a Memorial service at 6:30, in the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpk. Rensselaer.
Contributions in Sarah's memory may be made to Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.

I have known Lori all my life, Her sister Gayle and I were best friends and graduated together. I practically grew up in the Bevis household . Lori, her Mom ,sister Gayle and I spent a lot of adventures camping all over N.Y. state. Lori and I had many great adventure fishing, snowmobiling, and cohabitating in an apartment together for many years. Lori was an incredibly kind ,caring, fun individual. I will miss her and our texting together every day. Rest Easy Lori, you will be missed
