Martinez, Sharon A. (White) COLONIE Sharon A. (White) Martinez, 74, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, August 14, 2021. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late E. Herbert White Sr. and Anna Mae White. Sharon was predeceased by her loving husband, Thomas J. Martinez Jr. Sharon worked for many years with Thomas at their family owned plumbing and heating business. She also worked as a travel agent and then was a receptionist at Avila Retirement Community before her retirement. She enjoyed her holidays, and shopping, camping, traveling, gardening and themed family parties. The most important part of her life was her family and she will be forever loved and cherished by all who knew her. Sharon is survived by her two daughters, Anda Reinisch (Michael) and Pepita Houck (Thomas). She will be missed by her three grandchildren, Evan Reyes, Conor and Emma Reinisch; her siblings, E. Herbert White Jr. (Jean), Michael White; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband, Sharon was predeceased by her two daughters, Tonya Martinez and Amy Martinez; and siblings, Robert White and Ethel Cullen. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 19, from 5 -7 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A joint graveside service, for both Sharon and her loving husband, will be held on Friday, August 20, at 12 p.m. in Memory Gardens Cemetery as they are joined together in their final resting place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association in Sharon's name.
