Shirley Anne Collier

Collier, Shirley Anne TROY Shirley Anne Collier, 70, died on July 21, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was born on September 16, 1951, to the late John T. Collier and Mary Dolan, a construction business owner and homemaker. She was a loving mother, daughter, grandmother, and friend to all that knew her. Shirley loved listening to music and dancing the night away. She also loved dressing up and had a keen sense of style. Shirley loved reading and was an avid poet. At any given opportunity, she was a social butterfly and enjoyed sipping tea with her friends and family. On occasion, she could be found testing her luck with the slot machines! Her smile would light up any room, and her laughter was infectious. Shirley cherished going to church to celebrate the Holy Mass with her daughter. She loved to travel, especially cruising with her family and long-term partner, Angel Herpin. Shirley also had a love for any four-legged animal, especially her dogs, Cozy and Fiona. While being a stay-at-home mom, she dedicated her life to her children. In her later years, she was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her grandchildren and godchild. She was immersed in her Catholic faith and embraced Jesus as her savior in her youth. Shirley is survived by her partner, Angel Herpin; children, Tammy M. Forster (James), Daniel F. Lamphere Jr., Jason C. Lamphere, and Kenneth Pignone Jr.; her grandchildren, Kiersten Carcia (James), Sierra Forster (Anthony), Madison Lamphere, Aiden Forster, Phoenix Lamphere, Osiris Lamphere, and Ryland Lamphere; and her godchild, Cathy Reyes. Shirley will forever be in our hearts. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. Relatives and friends are welcome to visit with Shirley's family on Monday, July 25, from 4-6 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 26, at 9 a.m. in the Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave., Albany. Burial will follow the Mass in the Calvary Cemetery, 481 Rte. 9W, Glenmont.
