Stanley Puzio Obituary

Puzio, Stanley M. RENSSELAER Stanley M. Puzio, 90, passed away suddenly on Thursday September 4, 2008 at Albany Memorial Hospital. Stanley was born April 23, 1918 in Detroit, Mich., and was the son of the late Konrad and Francis Puzio of Poland. He is predeceased by his brother, John Puzio; his two sisters, Eva Emnaus and Helen Marzahl; and his niece Eleanor. Stanley worked and retired from General Electric in Pittsfield, Mass. After his retirement in 1978, he devoted all of his time to his wife, his family, and the great outdoors. Stanley was an avid fisherman, bear, deer and raccoon hunter, gardener, trapper, and bird watcher. Stanley is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Myrtle H. Puzio; his two sons, Stephen M. Puzio of Nassau, and Kenneth E. Puzio of Nassau; and his three daughters, Darlene L (Fred) Ahlborn of Johnsonville, Donna M. (Lee) Johnson of Brainard, and Denise E. (David) Dunton of Simpsonville, S.C. In addition, Stanley is survived by his loving grandchildren, Stacia, Nicole, Russell, Mark, Shawn, Kristy, Stephen, Katie, Sara, Greg, David and Sammy. Also, he is survived by his beloved great-grandchildren, Kaylah, Kyle, Holden, Taylor, Braydon, and Michael; his nephew Paul; and nieces, Rose and Georgia; and other beloved extended family Calling hours will be held at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau Tuesday from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. with interment to follow at the Friends Burial Grounds in Rayville. Contributions in Mr. Puzio's memory to the National Geographic Society, Development Office 1145 17th Street NW Washington, DC 20036 would be greatly appreciated.
