Puzio, Stephen M.
NASSAU - Stephen M. Puzio, 78, of Nassau, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Albany Medical Center. Born in Stephentown, N.Y., on April 22, 1947, he was the son of the late Stanley and Myrtle (Williams) Puzio.
Steve grew up on the family farm, where he developed a lifelong love for the outdoors. He spent more than 40 years as a dedicated sales manager with Copeland in Nassau, earning the respect and friendship of all who worked with him. A true outdoorsman, Steve enjoyed trapping, fishing in the Adirondacks, and tending to his garden. Above all, he will be remembered for his generous spirit and his constant willingness to lend a helping hand to others.
Steve is survived by his former wife, Linda Arrant; his children, Shawn S. (Kalli) Puzio, Stephen C. Puzio, and Nicole A. (Dean) Thomas; his grandchildren, Holden Thomas, Taylor Thomas, Gabriel Puzio, and Elias Puzio; and his siblings, Kenneth E. Puzio (Barbara), Darlene L. (Fred) Ahlborn, Donna M. (Leroy) Johnson, and Denise E. (Dave) Dunton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at the Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau, on Wednesday, November 5, at 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Steve's family, prior to the service, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Steve's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
