Hart, Susan D. DELMAR Susan Lynn (Davis) Hart, 76, passed away at home with her family at her side on September 3, 2021, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Akron, Ohio on May 22, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Sarah (Epstein) and Harry H. Davis. Susie's bachelor's degree in biology and master's degree in education led to a short career as a high school biology teacher, abandoned in favor of a focus on home and family. Her love of nature and travel took her and the family to many parts of our beautiful nation and the world. Susan is survived by her husband of 52 years, Joseph J.; her son Aaron D. (Elizabeth); her daughter Kimberly P. Ciampa (Anthony); her sister Deena L. Davis (Mordechai Olcha); and six grandchildren, Elaine, Lauren, Carolyn and Audrey Hart; Nicholas and Yvette Ciampa. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Catherine (Wells) Hart. Calling hours will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 9, at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar, followed by a service and burial in the Saratoga National Cemetery at 1 p.m. COVID-19 vaccination or masks will be required for these services.
