Teresa O'Connor Obituary
TROY - Teresa O'Connor, 97, of Troy, entered into eternal life on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at her home with her loving family by her side.
Teresa was born on May 18, 1928, in Troy, N.Y. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Ruthowska) Jacon; and the loving wife of 57 years to the late William O'Connor.
Teresa is survived by her children, Karen Barrett, David (Jean-Ann) O'Connor and Bill O'Connor; proud grandmother to Sara Allen Taylor, Michael Barrett Jr., Linden Barrett Taylor (Jawon), Kathleen Bishop (Barret), Elizabeth, Vaughn and Zachary O'Connor; and great-grandmother to Aliare, Calla, Aspen, Rory, Amity, Omari and Callie. She was predeceased by her siblings, Mary Pochman, Toni Argay, Jane Granato, Ann Conroy, Helen, Sophie, Joseph, John and Thomas Jacon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a very special thank-you to Deanna Farrell, as well as Paul Wain and all of the Hospice staff, for the incredible care, help and support they have provided to us.
Family and friends are invited and may call on Thursday, from 4 – 7 p.m., at the Wm. Leahy Funeral Home, Troy. Funeral procession will begin at 8:30 a.m., on Friday morning, to St. Joseph's Church, where a 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, with Fr. Joseph Ngo officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Troy.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Teresa's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
