Ahlborn, 92, of Clifton Park, peacefully entered into eternal life on February 8, 2025.
Born in Cohoes, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late James L. and Sarah A. Maloney Fitzgerald; and was the beloved wife of the late Raymond E. Fitch, St. and the late Fred Karl Ahlborn. She was a graduate of Cohoes High School, Class of 1951.
Theresa retired in 1995, after 29 ½ years of dedicated service as a Senior Typist from the NYS Office of General Services in Albany.
Theresa received a Papal Blessing, was a very active diocesan volunteer; dedicated to Formation for Ministry, Marriage Encounter, Pre-Cana, Cursillo Movement and served on the Parish Council (at St. George's Church in Pittstown) and Our Lady Of Victory Church in Troy, a current communicant of St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and Lector. She traveled extensively to Ireland, Hawaii, Bahamas, as well as by motor home. She has also been a member of the Pittstown Volunteer Emergency Corps.
Devoted mother of Theresa (Ed) Bradt, Ray E. Fitch and Veronica (John) Tyrrell; cherished grandmother of Sarah Jeanne (Bob) Hembreee; adored great-grandmother of Riley Hembree; sister of the late Francis Fitzgerald, Veronica Elvis, James L. Fitzgerald, Jr., Joseph, John, William and Timothy Fitzgerald and Catherine Daigneault; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from 10 to 11 a.m., to the Visitation, and at 11 a.m., to the Mass of Christian Burial, all being held at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Rd., Clifton Park, N.Y. 12065.
Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Waterford.
