Cardinal, Theresa "Terry" NISKAYUNA Theresa "Terry" Cardinal was born in Schenectady to Donato and Maria Lombardi on April 8, 1931. She passed away on October 27, 2022, after a short battle with a rare infectious disease. Except for the last part thanking the Ellis Hospital team, this obituary represents Terry's own words, family was not allowed to embellish! Terry was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School and Albany Business College. She worked at General Electric for six years. Shortly after her marriage to Allen Cardinal, she relocated to Syracuse. They raised four children there. Terry worked for many years as an outreach minister at St. Joseph's the Worker Church in Liverpool, N.Y. Terry enjoyed relocating to the Capital District ten years ago, residing with her son Paul and his wife Cindy in Niskayuna. Terry was predeceased by her husband, Allen; her beloved parents; and her siblings, Amelia Lombardi, Anthony "Uncle Tony" Lombardi and Helen Iantosca. Terry is survived by her children, Paul (Cynthia), Robert, Anne Marie (Jess - predeceased) and Mary (Roger). Also surviving are her grandchildren, Stephen (Jordan), Ymiliana, Lauren (Alex), Jesus "Che," and Diego; and her great-grandchildren, Sofia, Selena, Aiden and Sutton. The family cannot express enough gratitude to the healthcare team at Ellis Hospital for their expertise and their compassion, particularly Terry's cardiologist, Dr. Dibble, the emergency room's Dr. Young, the ICU's Dr.Vytrisal, and infectious disease specialist Dr. Liebers. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, November 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, and the Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, November 2, at 10 a.m. in the St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish, 1803 Union St., Niskayuna. I remember the entire Lombardi family . I was the neighbor next door .Lou/Amelia lived downstairs and her mother Mary
and father lived upstairs. I spoke with Theresa many times when she was visiting. Wonderful and thoughtful person
