ROTTERDAM - Thomas Gregory, 43, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 25, 2024, at his home with his loving family by his side, after a courageous battle with stage four colorectal cancer.
Thomas was the son of Rance and Jill Gregory. He was the devoted husband of over 16 years to Brooke M. Gregory.
Thomas worked for the N.Y.S. Police with Troop T. in Albany, as an Office assistant three, Principle Clerk, with Local Union C.S.E.A.
Thomas enjoyed eating, watching football, and was an avid Steelers Fan. He loved attending Sadie's activities, and especially loved being a "Dance Dad." He cherished introducing Henry to the world of sports. One of Thomas' favorite memories was going with his family to Douthat State Park in Va., every year.
Thomas was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, his paternal grandfather, as well as several aunts, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Thomas is survived by his wife, Brooke; he is the cherished father of Sadie and Henry. Brother of Amy (Greg) Palmer. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Trish McCluskey; his paternal grandmother, Penny; five nephews, and many cousins.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, N.Y., on Saturday, March 30, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady, N.Y.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in the names of Sadie and Henry Gregory, to the Sunmark Credit Union.
The family would like to especially thank the Rouse family, who have provided many years of friendship, love, and comfort, for the family; also to the entire staff at N.Y.O.H. and the N.Y.S. Police, for all of their compassion and support given to Thomas and his family during this time.
