Thomas Malone Obituary

Malone, Thomas VENICE, Fla. Thomas Leo Malone, 79, passed away at his winter home in Venice, Fla., on December 11, 2021. He was born on April 26, 1942, to Leo and Marguerite (nee Evers) Malone in Troy. Tom graduated from LaSalle High School in 1959 and attended Siena College in Loudonville, where he received his bachelor's degree in accounting in 1963. He was employed 39 years by the New York State Department of Labor where he retired in 2003 as the director of Unemployment Insurance. Tom supported Siena College as a yearly pass-holder to Siena Saints events, where he was an avid fan of Siena Saints Basketball. He also served as a football official and referee during the Capital District high school football season. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter Violet. Tom will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and Poppy. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Bonnie Bielinski-Malone; sons, Steven Malone and Matthew (Carrie) Bielinski; granddaughter, Violet Bielinski; and sisters, Marilyn Reinstein and Leanne Conron. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to lasalleinstitute.org/giving-and-events/annual-fund.
