Timothy White Obituary

White, Timothy J. ALBANY Timothy J. White, 64, died on Monday, May 2, 2022, at St. Peter's Hospital after a short but valiant fight with Esophageal cancer. Tim was born on Halloween in 1957 to the late Albert and Carolyn White. He grew up in Colonie and graduated from Colonie Central High School in 1975. Tim then graduated from University of Connecticut in 1979. In 1984 he received a master's degree in business administration from UCLA. Tim worked for thirty years as a mortgage broker with various companies and a professor of finance at the University at Albany. He was a diehard UConn athletics fan, an avid reader, and a history buff. He was adventurous, gregarious, and as a result he had never met a stranger that he wouldn't eventually learn their life story. Tim is survived by his children, Conor and Emma; his siblings, Megan Mastrianni (Benedict), Brian (Bonnie), Patrick (Christopher Foster), and Daniel (Maribeth); and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Michael White. Tim will be greatly missed by his countless friends and acquaintances. Tim's final act was to be a corneal donor. A private funeral Mass will be held honoring Timothy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Regional Food Bank, 965 Albany Shaker Road, Latham, NY, 12110. Sorry for this late message. Tim and I had an interesting relationship in high school, we would argue about sports constantly! He was a really terrific guy and I was so sad to hear of his passing. I can picture him in our morning gathering area at the entrance to Colonie Central HS like it was yesterday. My best to his children, brothers and sisters. I hope to be in that special place when my time comes to reunite with Tim and Mike (Roger! Who was a basketball team mate in 73-74 at CCHS)

I didn't know Tim was fighting a battle, we spent years in a long steady conversation and I thought he was untouchable.. that very handsome and well educated man that seemed to keep getting younger, in looks and outlook, while the rest of us got older. A definite one of a kind human, you will be very missed Tim, and never forgotten.

To Conor and Emma, along with Tim's siblings and extended family, I extend my deepest sympathy. Through almost 40 years of life's ups and down Tim and I always stayed in touch. I knew Tim was in the fight of his life with Cancer. I thought he would win. I was wrong. Rest in peace dear friend.

I didn´t know Tim personally but he was part of our UConn Twitter family, and shared his love of UConn and our commonality, both are Dads we´re pharmacists. He seemed like a great man and I enjoyed my interactions with him on Twitter. He will be missed by our Online UConn community and I hope he has a good seat in heaven for UConn games. May he RIP and prayers and love to the family and friends of Tim.
